Ahhhh!

I am now a proud owner of Pro Tools LE, the Digidesign Mbox 2 Mini, an AKG Perception 200 Condenser Microphone, and will soon have a MacBook Pro. So hopefully I’ll be posting some quality recordings soon.

Look Out!

Here’s some more music I’ve been working on!

Click me! (Yes I’ve been listening to a lot of Trivium lately)

EDIT on 7-24-07.
The music is now updated with a newer version.

Guitar Hero 2

According to the Xbox Live leaderboards, I am the 512thbest Guitar Hero 2 player in the world! Sweet.

W00t!

Also, I am the 54th best person in the world at the song “Mother” by Danzig. Sweet.

My band played a show last night at the California Brew Haus, and it was sweet. Here’s a picture of me onstage. Credit for the photo goes out to Althea.

John Petrucci

In case you don’t know, John Petrucci is the guitar player for the band Dream Theater, and he’s pretty much one of the best guitar players ever. He has released some instructional DVDs, which I’ve always found funny because pretty much nobody will ever be able to play like him. Someone else shares my opinion as well and actually dubbed in different words over these DVDs to make fun of it. The result? Hilarity. Here is some linkage for your enjoyment:

Noises

It’s been a while since I put any sort of music up on here. It had also been a while since I’d played around with Reason at all. Two birds were killed with one stone folks! I made up a little thing that sounds like a summer night thunder storm with plenty of rain and wind. Hope you like it:

From that Electronic Music class…. a video.

The final project for my class was to make a soundtrack to go along with a short video clip. We didn’t have to make the video ourselves, but I decided that it would be fun to do so. Here’s the movie that I made: …of the Carrot (in a nicely deucenet formatted page)
or …of the Carrot (in all of its google video splendor)

By the way, I got an A on this project.

More Music from that Electronic Music class I’m taking

The assignment this time was to take 15 seconds of audio and turn it into a 90 second piece. What I did was go around campus sampling different doors and also an organ. I took those samples and a few other sounds and made this piece, entitled Dorgans (Doors and organs).

Electronic Music (Again)

Well, here’s my second project from that electronic music class I’m taking. This time my teacher allowed us to actually use a beat in the music! Yay! If anyone out there is a Mistaken Identity (my old band) fan, then you might just recognize some parts of this one.
