My DVI Dilemma

I got a new monitor yesterday that has a DVI input on it. However, it only came with a VGA cable. Earlier today I went out to circuit city to pick up a DVI cable. The only one they had in the store was priced at $99.99. I wasn’t about to pay that so I came home and looked up DVI cable prices online. I found one for 20 bucks. Can anyone explain this discrepency in price? It confuses me.

Digital Video Interface… more like Does Vitiate Income! Wow, I crack myself up.

This can all be attributed to the Lazy Asshole Principle (Eisenbergerbachen, 1974) whereby if somebody can get something immediately and easily they will do so at great expense which means that the wise will be patient and wait for cheap prices in some fashion as you have done by going online like an intelligent person whereas the “Lazy Asshole” who probably stole money from someone (or someentity) can drive to the store on “expensive gas” (cheaper than bottled water) and throw down money that nobody really needs on something marked up for the sole reason of taking advantage of these people in society which society says is okay because the Lazy Asshole just wants immediate rewards even at a greater cost monetarily or otherwise

Or … OR it could actually be slightly, (does this thing take html code?) related to actual performance/quality factors. One that I know about that can be a concern for VGA cable is proper shielding, but I don’t know if this holds up for DVI also. Either way sometimes the price difference (at least part of it) is for a good reason other than the LAP from boozers comment.

Yes, I know this whole dilemna is quite a moot point now anyhow.
